Dear NERVES Friends,
I am thrilled to share an update on all the exciting developments at NERVES. First and foremost, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to John Moeller for his outstanding leadership as president. His dedication has profoundly impacted us all, both through his friendship and mentorship. As he steps down, he leaves a significant legacy that I, alongside our board, aspire to uphold. A personal thank you from me to you, John, for your friendship and guidance as I follow in your footsteps.
Our annual meeting was a resounding success, thanks to the tireless efforts of the conference committee. The Thursday afternoon activities were particularly memorable, and I was delighted to connect with many of you during the architectural boat tour. I also received fantastic feedback about the gangster tour and the Wrigley Field tour. These experiences have sparked a tradition that we hope to enhance each year, building on the strong desire among members to connect and engage.
It was an honor to see Mary Cloninger recognized for her invaluable contributions to our organization. As she moves into retirement, we celebrate her achievements and wish her the very best in this new chapter of her life.
Looking ahead, I am eager to convene with the board at our upcoming annual retreat. With several dynamic new members joining us, we are poised to focus on deepening our partnership with AANS, advancing our strategic initiatives, and planning an even more impactful 2025 annual meeting. Our primary goal remains to represent and serve you, our members, to the best of our ability.
The future of NERVES is very bright, enriched by the enthusiasm and leadership of our new and continuing members. I am inspired by the opportunity to lead such a vibrant group and look forward to building on the solid foundation laid by those who have guided us so well.
With deepest gratitude,
Jacob A. Rodman
President, NERVES
