Dear NERVES Friends,
As we begin 2026, I am filled with a sense of optimism and gratitude for the strength, resilience, and collegiality of our NERVES community.
The past year reinforced what makes this organization special: thoughtful leaders willing to share hard-earned lessons, challenge conventional thinking, and support one another through an increasingly complex healthcare environment. From operational pressures and reimbursement uncertainty to workforce dynamics and rapid technological change, neurosurgery leaders continue to navigate real headwinds—yet NERVES members consistently respond with innovation, collaboration, and clarity of purpose.
Looking ahead, 2026 presents meaningful opportunity. Opportunity to deepen our educational offerings, to expand peer-to-peer engagement, and to further elevate the role of executive leadership in shaping the future of neurosurgical care. Our collective expertise positions us not only to adapt to change, but to lead it—setting standards for operational excellence, physician alignment, and patient-centered decision-making.
This year, NERVES will continue to focus on practical, high-value content; strengthening relationships across practices and systems; and fostering candid dialogue around the issues that matter most to our members. Just as important, we will remain committed to the culture that defines NERVES: generous, trusted, and grounded in shared experience.
Thank you for your ongoing engagement and leadership. I look forward to another year of learning together, supporting one another, and advancing our mission—always with an eye toward the future and confidence in what we can accomplish as a community.
Wishing you a successful and fulfilling year ahead. See you all in San Antonio for our Annual conference in April.
